Achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 at a global scale is a daunting task. With current global climate finance frameworks, investment mechanisms and fund management, we can’t be assured that all the green climate actions that need funding will be executed adequately to achieve the global target pictured vividly high by the Paris Agreement, which is to keep the global temperature under 1.5°C increase above pre-industrial levels. As the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) estimates through its Global Landscape of Climate Finance 2021 report, climate finance must increase by at least 590% – to USD 4.35 trillion annually by 2030 – to meet our climate objectives. We need a new paradigm of global green climate financing and a new mechanism of climate action with velocity and efficiency to produce significant climate outcomes that can create impact at the global, regional, national, communal and individual business levels within three decades. Efficient financial flows enable ambitious investments in new economic initiatives that span over infrastructural reformation, energy transition, industrial decarbonization, zero-carbon transportation, comprehensive circular consumer behaviors, water security, agricultural innovation and many others. GTL, based on scientific accuracy and proven rationale of bankability, will use its framework of global green finance integration framework and its holistic global green climate finance integration platform to enable the swiftest and abundant flows of financial resources through all the pipelines that connect global monetary resources to global actions.
To enable actions on green sustainability geared towards achieving green resilience and sustainable economy, exponential mobilization of global financial resources with speed and scalability is urgently needed. GTL endeavors to inspire the global public, private and people financiers for mutual interoperability through not only their capacities already latent in their operation but also new innovative financial mechanisms, assets, instruments, funds, products and functional integration. The integration of global green sustainable impact finances will enable businesses to explore capital investment opportunities in their business infrastructure, products and services, as well as their production processes to decarbonize their business cycle and related business value chains. At the same time, open exchangeability of economic value between various green assets, corporate carbon assets, climate/green/carbon coins and legacy assets is extremely important to ensure that the new carbon economy fully establishes its foundation in the actual field of economic action. GTL will work with global financiers and businesses to discover and build financial solutions that meet the urgency of the time and satisfy all conditions for a trustful financial interaction.
GTL provides the global green sustainability community with an integrated total business platform for global green climate and sustainability finance. As reported by the CPI, total annual flow of climate finance reached 632 billion US dollars through 2019 to 2020, but this pipeline is still too narrow to support the whole global efforts to make a full transition into accomplishing carbon neutrality by 2050, which necessitate a total flow of 3 to 5 trillion US dollars for public and private sectors altogether. This integrative platform will serve as a powerful engine in circulating global green climate sustainable funds. Countries, public or private institutions will be able to propose their initiatives with ideas of green climate sustainable innovation to the whole community of global investors, public, private and people. All global green climate and sustainable financiers, public, private or people, including any National DFI (Development Financial Institution), Multilateral DFIs, Bilateral DFI, State-owned FI (Financial Institution), SOE (State-Owned Entity), MCF (Multilateral Climate Fund), Corporation, Commercial FI, Household and Individual, and Institutional Investor and Fund, can discover investment and funding opportunities among the list of all global projects with fully validated investment rationale, bankability and that are certified by globally reputable institutions and GTL.
Carbon trading schemes and markets are important mechanisms for countries and businesses to achieve their carbon emission reduction targets against NDC. Countries and businesses can further operate to go beyond their compliant goals and add ambitious targets for better leadership and economic competitive capacity. GTL helps corporations and communities discover the best carbon reduction opportunities through voluntary carbon markets (VCM), while at the same time, advising and guiding them for the most cost-effective and efficient methods of complying with carbon cap-and-trade regulations of compliance carbon markets (CCM). GTL sees that the global green sustainable impact financing shall need to gradually converge with public climate finance, private climate finance, VCM and CCM mechanisms altogether, and thus GTL supports clients to envision long-term financial designing and planning for the most efficient and effective carbon asset management.
Citizens’ active engagement in the realization of carbon-neutrality and low-carbon economic growth is critically essential. One of the best ways of engaging citizens into the actual actions of green sustainability is to return back the benefits generated from their daily consumption and economic behaviors. Returning a portion of their consumption when they purchase certified green sustainable products and services that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emission can be a strong stimulus for citizens to buy green sustainable products and services. GTL seeks opportunities, with business leaders and community activists, to architect, design and build various carbon-cash-back systems that fit into the circumstances and characteristics of each individual application area.
